Median® is a forum to explore pressing societal issues. It favors substance over style, and diversity over uniformity. It understands that issues are complex, nuanced and interrelated, and strives to present them as such. Too often in today's media these intricacies are lost, with "experts" talking past each other and the issues themselves simplified to the point of incomprehension; Median strives to raise the level of discourse and refocus the conversation by bringing divergent and fresh perspectives together around a single topic, allowing readers to formulate their own informed opinion. The premise is straightforward: a quarterly publication which addresses a single public and/or social policy topic per issue and features contributions from readers with a variety of backgrounds and perspectives. The topic for the upcoming issue will be announced roughly 60 days before submissions would be due and the issue published.
